calligraphy ink , oil paint on Bristol paper
I’ve been trying to create simple drawings and allow myself to let something be great without over doing or overthinking it. I look at it like a off the wall test , being able to take a blank sheet of paper and make something with calligraphy ink and oil paint. Making something that has a simple color scheme but looks complex or thought out.
This is not me stunting because I also flip that and try to put a lot of thought into something simple (You Acted Alone) but for Diet I wanted to treat it like making something instant . I like to wait until right before I leave the studio and make something real quick . Then come back the next day and see how I feel about . I felt like this piece was done.
